About Me

Daniel Nates is a Senior Loan Officer with years of experience navigating FHA, Conventional and VA loans. The son of an Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War and a Grandfather who served with the Army in WWII, he has immense experience navigating the VA. You can rely on Daniel to expertly navigate programs for disabled veterans, surviving spouses and even recently discharged veterans simply looking for guidance. With regards to Conventional and FHA loans knowing the intricacies of those programs allows him to provide the best possible options to his clients and see things others may have missed. Quite often there is a little known detail that can make all the difference.

Before working with First Federal, Daniel focused on programs related to retirement planning. While working with TRICARE, Medicare and structuring retirement financial plans he was uniquely able to blend his personal knowledge with the professional knowledge needed to understand the full picture of what individuals are looking to accomplish for their future. If you need help working on future financial goals or simply have no idea where to start Daniel can help!

Apart from his professional experience what you can absolutely expect from Daniel is his dedication to understanding your goals and seeing the process through to the end and beyond. Many of his clients still reach out to him after working with them simply to ask a question or two and he is always there. You can expect 100% transparency, no surprises, availability and a conservative approach to what is going to be expected throughout the process. When you get to the end of the process everything should be as expected or BETTER than what was originally planned!

In his free time Daniel enjoys spending time traveling with his wife Jen, and checking in on his family in California who never forget to remind him just how nice the weather is compared to Chicago.
